Medical education and communications company is seeking experienced candidates for a full-time and/or contract Medical Writer/Editor positions in specific therapeutic areas. The Medical Writer/Editor will help manage the development of promotional medical education content and ancillary program material across a variety of therapeutic areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Develop content and ancillary program material for physician, health econ, sales and managed care advisory panels and educational/promotional programming
o Copy edit, proofread and fact check content using primary references
o Prepare a range of meeting summaries (e.g., executive summaries and top line reports)
o Work with graphics team to create/revise slides, charts and graphs for promotional medical education activities
o Supervise freelance medical writers and PowerPoint professionals as necessary
o Travel to and manage on-site slide review and editorial needs for live meetings
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Bachelor’s degree in science, communications or journalism. An advanced degree (MS, MPH, PhD) in is preferred.
o Minimum of 3 years of progressive medical writing and editorial experience
o Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of editorial management, including copy editing and fact checking.
o Facility with AMA Manual of Style
o Team player
o Project management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-oriented environment
o Experience in multiple therapeutic areas
o Ability and willingness to do whatever is necessary for the team to get the job done, regardless of roles or responsibilities!
